Oyoor (Kottarakara): A quarrel that started after the removal of a member from a Facebook group turned from bad to worse as one of the group admins had to face the wrath of a group of gangsters. They created a dreadful scene in his relative's house while brandishing swords and other weapons.

Police have arrested 15 people of a ‘quotation’ gang in connection with incident and seized weapons from them. Those arrested were: Rahul, 23, of Odanavattom; Krishnaprasad, 22, of Veliyam; Prajeesh, 20, of Pooyapally; Bahuleyan, 18, of Veliyam; Saran, 22, of Pooyapally; Akhil, 20, of Veliyam; Vineesh, 20, of Veliyam; Vipin, 18, of Veliyam; Rahul, 18, of Veliyam; Sudhi, 21, of Veliyam; Shyam, 20, of Veliyam; Vinayak, 19, of Veliyam; Suni, 18, of Veliyam; Ajin, 18, of Veliyam; and Bineesh, 26.

The first accused, Rahul, and his friend Noushad of Thembamvila were the group admins of a Facebook group called 'Pranaya Mazha'. Following a discord between the two, Nishad had removed Rahul from the group. When this was questioned by a mutual friend Prajeesh over the phone, Noushad showered a flurry of abusive words on him.

The gang subsequently went to Noushad's house with lethal weapons, including swords and iron rods and metallic bars. As Noushad was not present in the house, the miscreants then barged into the house of his relative and created tense moments there.
