Library in Abhimanyu's name set to open soon

Marayur: The effort to commemorate Maharaja’s College student who was stabbed to death recently is paying off. A library bearing his name is set to open at his native place Vattavada in Idukki.

As soon as it was announced that a library would be opened in memory of the slain SFI leader, books started arriving at the Vattavada panchayat office. According to panchayat president P Ramaraj, over two lakh books have been promised by various callers. The library, to be named as ‘Abhimanyu Maharaja’s Library’ will function on a 2,000 sq.ft. space on the third floor of Vattavada panchayat office. Authorities said that it will be opened within a month.

People wishing to donate books to the library can contact the panchayat authorities over phone numbers 04865 214054, 99613 11411 or 94462 62010. No money will be paid to buy books for the library.
