Malayalam is just a cakewalk for these 104 Odisha women

Kazhakoottam: 104 Odisha women accomplished an incredible feat by successfully completing a course in Malayalam language. The women, who work at the apparel unit of the KINFRA apparel park in Thiruvananthapuram, studied the language during their leisure hours in the hostel.

Realizing their enthusiasm to learn the language, the Kerala literacy mission offered to teach them Malayalam, under the ‘Changathi’ project. The women, who learned to read and write Malayalam, in an impressively short period of time, surprised their teachers and the officials of the literacy mission by passing the examination.

Literacy mission director PS Sreekala distributed the certificates to the Odisha women. They stunned the organizers by presenting poems and film songs in Malayalam as well. Municipal chairman C Sudarshan and literacy mission district coordinator Prashant Kumar took part in the program.
