Kudumbashree products will soon be available at your fingertips. Kudumbashree's trusted product range will soon be made available through as part of a major revamp in its marketing and delivery through its online platform.

There are currently around 15,000 Kudumbashree collectives across the state. The Kudumbashree women produce a whole range of items including curry powders, flour, masalas, pickles, jams, squash, coconut oil, cosmetics, toiletries, handicrafts and ready made clothes. In the initial phase, around 200 products will be available online with better labeling and packaging in the works.

Attempts will be made to better package and market the products. The Kudumbashree collectives stand to gain greater revenue through online sales also. All items available online will have photos, product information, unit name and contact details. The customers can select what they want after checking out all the details.

When a customer selects an item for purchase, the related producers, the district program manager and the state mission manager will all get an update via text message. Once the order is placed, the delivery will be via postal mail. To this extent, Kudumbashree also inked an agreement with the Postal department.

Meanwhile, as a part of enhancing Kudumbashree's product reach, new Kudumbashree outlets are expected to begin operations soon in every district. These units will take over management of orders from the web platform. The technical assistance for the portal is being provided by the State Start-up Mission.
