Registration begins for Manorama sports awards 2018

Kottayam: The selection process for the Kerala’s biggest sports awards gets off the ground on Tuesday.

The Malayala Manorama-Santa Monica Tours and Travels Sports Awards has been conceptualised to acknowledge and salute the accomplishments of outstanding sportspersons and sports clubs/academies from all across the state.

The initiative also intends to promote excellence among budding sportspersons and encourage them to achieve greater success.

The six awards in two categories – the Manorama Sports Star 2018 and the Manorama Sports Club 2018 – will be determined through a comprehensive nomination and selection process, conducted jointly by Malayala Manorama daily, Manorama News channel, Manorama Online, and Radio Mango.

The Manorama Sports Star 2018 will recognise and honor individuals for their extraordinary achievements, whereas the Manorama Sports Club 2018 will acknowledge the persistent and passionate efforts of clubs and academies in unearthing latent talents at grassroots levels. These institutions keep providing youngsters a platform and support their ambitions to become champions even though their contributions largely go unnoticed and unrecognised.
