Kozhikode: Kerala played out a goalless draw with Karnataka in their final qualifying game and made it to the main phase of the Santosh Trophy national football championship here on Monday.
Kerala topped Group A with seven pints from three matches. The hosts had beaten Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh by an identical 3-0 margin.

Karnataka, who came second with four points, and Andhra, who drew goalless with Puducucherry in the day's early fixture, were eliminated. Andhra too notched up four points, but were pushed to third spot on goal difference. Puducherry ended their campaign with a solitary point.
Captain P. Usman, who scored three goals in the first two games, was the star performer for Kerala.
