Mahendra Singh Dhoni captured the imagination of the Indian youth when he smashed 148 against Pakistan in a One-Day International at Vizakhapatnam in 2005. The Jharkhand youngster's big hitting as well as his long mane made Dhoni the style icon of India.
Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf even asked Dhoni no to cut his hair when the Indian had a dream run in the 2006 tour of Pakistan. But as he grew old and took up more responsibilities, Dhoni changed his appearance too. He cut his long hair short and even shaved his head after he led India to triumph in the 2011 ICC World Cup at home.
Dhoni later revealed that his wife Sakshi told him that she would have never married him if he still had the long locks!
Now, at 36, Dhoni is seen sporting his long hair in a TV commercial for Snickers chocolate bar.
In the video, Dhoni is speaking to his teammates in animated 'Bhojpuri' while wearing a warrior dress suited for a Baahubali movie. In the ad, Dhoni is seen wielding his bat as a sword and exhorts his team to action, even as one his teammates quips "even Captain Cool loses cool.”
