Despite the fierce rivalry on the field, Indian and Pakistani cricketers are good friends off it. In the latest example of the camaraderie between the players of both teams, Indian star Yuvraj Singh has trolled former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar for the former’s tweet.
Akhtar, who had his fare share of battle with Yuvraj, posted a motivational quote on Twitter which read, “Only hard work can lead you to your dream. Don’t be afraid to be ambitious about your goals. Hard work never stops. Neither should your dreams.”
But what caught Yuvraj’s attention was Akhtar’s welding helmet, which he was holding in the picture alongside the quote.
Yuvraj, never the one to miss out on having a good laugh, commented: “Oh ta theek hai payan tusi welding karan kithe chale ho (That’s all right but where are you going for welding).”
Akhtar, who was once the fastest pace bowler in the world, retired from international cricket in 2011 after the ICC World Cup.
Yuvaraj has struggled to keep his place in the Indian team in the shorter formats of the game after playing a stellar role in their triumph in the 2011 World Cup. The stylish left-hander last played for India in the third ODI against the West Indies in June.
