London: In what could turn out to be an auction of world-wide interest, the dolls and babywear from the Royal closets of England are up for sale.
The dolls and silk babywear that were used by the incumbent Monarch of England Queen Elizabeth and her sister Margaret are up for a seven-series auction at the auction house Burstow and Hewett.
The collection, which was in the possession of the royal nanny, Clara Knight, was being taken care of by her family. It was the family that decided to put the possessions on auction considering their historic value after having preserved them for years after Ms Knight's death.
The collection includes early versions of the Disney favorites, Mickey and Minnie mouse, and other dolls made by British toy maker Dean's Rag Book Company.
