Boo, the 'world's cutest dog,' has died of a "broken heart," his owners have conrmed. His death was conrmed in a post on Saturday made by his American owners to his 16 million Facebook followers. He was 12 years old, in human years, CNN reported. Boo, a pomeranian, and his companion 'Buddy,' who died last year, became internet sensations when their owners started sharing pictures of their adorable antics.

In a first, robotic surgical procedure performed in Pakistan

A successful robotic surgical procedure was carried out for the first time in Pakistan on a female patient at a hospital in Karachi. Hailing from Balochistan, the woman had intractable bleeding acquiring multiple transfusions. The procedure was performed through robotic surgery in which the uterus of the 55-year-old patient was removed.

At 97, Karthyayani Amma is Commonwealth's goodwill ambassador

A 97-year-old woman who stood first in the state literary mission's 'Aksharalaksham' exam has been honoured by the Commonwealth of Learning organisation based in Vancouver, Canada. Karthyayani Amma of Muttam has been named Commonwealth learning goodwill ambassador which is dedicated to the promotion of distant education in Commonwealth countries.

Super blood wolf moon wows star gazers

Astronomy buffs across the United States have been promised all the makings of a spectacular total lunar eclipse from Sunday to Monday. Star gazers from Los Angeles to New York had their eyes on the sky for the eclipse, known as a super blood wolf moon. Although it is a total eclipse, the moon will does not go completely dark but rather take on a coppery red glow – called a blood moon. It is also a full moon that is especially close to Earth, called a supermoon.
