Ballia: A Muslim woman was forced to remove her burqa at a function attended by the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

The controversial incident, which has been caught on camera, shows the woman being asked by the policewomen present to remove her headscarf and burqa.

Responding to the incident, Anil Kumar, superintendent of police, Ballia said he had not been informed of any incident where a woman was asked to take off her burqa. he said there were instructions to prevent waving of black flags on the CM.

“Whatever you are mentioning will be probed and action will be taken,” he said
