Kochi: Actor Dileep, the accused in the actress assault case, has approached the High Court seeking the visuals of the incident. In his plea, Dileep said that he was denied the rights of a defendant by the Angamaly court, which had considered the case earlier.
The actor is also planning to file another plea for accessing the phone call records and forensic report.
The Angamaly court, while rejecting Dileep’s petition, had upheld the stand of the prosecution that handing over the visuals to the prime accused would pose a threat to the life of the victim.
Dileep had argued that the visuals of the actress being assaulted were doctored and is suspicious about the female voice in the video. According to him, the accused had the right to obtain all pieces of evidence against him, including the controversial visuals. The court had then handed over all other evidences, including CCTV images and lab reports to the accused.
