'Your days are numbered': video of CPM workers' hate march against Shuhaib out CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan announced that the party had no role in the murder of Shuhaib.

Kannur: Pointing the finger of suspicion at the ruling Communist party in the murder of Youth Congress worker Shuhaib, a video of CPM workers airing death threats against him has surfaced.

The alleged threat was made by CPM workers during a rally held two weeks ago. The CPM workers' rant 'your days are numbered' can be clearly heard in the video. The death threat was issued amid KSU-SFI tension in the region.

Shuhaib was murdered after the assailants threw a bomb to create panic at Therur in Edayannur.

Naushad, 27, and Riyas, 27, who were injured in the bomb attack are under treatment at Koyili hospital in Kannur.

'CPM has no role'

Meanwhile, CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan announced that the party had no role in the murder of Shuhaib. He also condemned the murder. He added that they will inquire if someone associated with the party is linked to the murder and take necessary action.

“The gruesome incident is not red terror as alleged by opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala but the handiwork of the RSS,” Jayarajan said in Thiruvananthapuram.
