Meet Sucheta, the Malayali girl who left audience spellbound during PM's event Sucheta is the daughter of Dr Satheesh, belonging to Elayavur in Kannur, and Sumitha.

Dubai: The young voice that bowled over the audience at the Opera House here during prime minister Narendra Modi’s event belongs to Sucheta Satheesh, a seventh standard student hailing from Kerala.

During the 15-minute event, she sang seven songs in Indian languages and an Arabic song. Starting with a hymn in praise of Lord Ganesha, Sucheta recited melodies in Malayalam, Manipuri, Gujarati, Kashmiri, Sindhi, Hindi and Tamil. The songs in Hindi and Tamil were patriotic in nature.

Sucheta, a student at Dubai Indian School, had earlier created a record by singing songs in 102 languages. She is the daughter of Dr Satheesh, belonging to Elayavur in Kannur, and Sumitha.

At Opera House, her program was scheduled immediately before the main function. The music program started with a fusion led by Bikram Ghosh. Ghosh, V Suresh, Abhishek Malik and other artists weaved magic on tabla, sitar and ghatam.
