Keralite with ISIS links killed in Syria: reports It is suspected that nearly 80 Keralites are sill in the IS hideouts in Syria.

Kannur: A youth from Kerala who was suspected to have joined the terror outfit Islamic State, was reportedly killed in Syria recently.

According to his relatives, they were informed about Abdul Munaf's death via WhatsApp by Mahe native Abdul Khayum. However, the police are yet to confirm the report.

According to the police, as many as 16 Keralites were killed in Syria last year. In July, 2017, the Kerala intelligence sleuths had received reports of death of five people from northern Kerala who were fighting for Islamic State in Syria.

It is suspected that nearly 80 Keralites are sill in the IS hideouts in Syria.
