Kochi: Two women were killed in separate road accidents in Aluva and Kalady on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Aneesa and Rosili.
In the first incident, Aneesa died after a speeding KSRTC bus rammed into her two-wheeler on the way to Aluva railway station. Aneesa's father Jerose was admitted to Aluva hospital with minor injuries.
Bus driver Safeer who tried to escape from the scene was later arrested.
In the second incident, Rosili who was traveling with her husband Jose and her grandson died on the spot when another private bus rammed into their scooter. The bus driver fled the scene after the incident.
