Aluva: Actor Dileep, housed in the Aluva sub jail on remand till August 8, has reportedly decided against approaching the Supreme Court for bail. The actor, an accused in the February 17 actress attack case, had approached the High Court for bail but his plea was rejected.
The actor has apparently been advised by his legal advisers to wait for the investigation to progress further, before making the next move.
The High Court, in its order on July 24, had noted that prima facie there was evidence to suspect his involvement in the crime. The next day, the Angamaly magistrate court extended the actor's remand period till August 8.

The police have also got specific leads into the secret hideout of Sunilraj, aka Apunni, who has been absconding since Dileep's arrest. The police have allegedly received specific leads about his location with reports of him being cited at Devalam, near Nadukanichuram at Nilambur, along the Kerala- Tamil Nadu border. The area has been under police surveillance since the last few days.
The actress, who has worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and assaulted inside a moving car in Kochi on February 17. The police arrested main accused Pular Suni, six days after the crime. Suni's arrest had eventually led the police to Dileep, who was arrested on July 10 for plotting the attack.
