Kochi: Malayalam film director Nadhirshah received 'training' from an additional director general of police (ADGP) to face police interrogation two days before he underwent a 13-hour grilling in the actress attack case, a report of the intelligence wing said.
The officer reached Kochi on June 26 afternoon and called Nadhirshah to a place near Vyttila where he was given a detailing on police interrogation methods, said the report submitted to police headquarters.
The report contained details on the mobile towers of both of them as well as visuals of Nadirshah arriving at the place where he met the officer. Former Kerala police chief T.P. Senkumar got information the same night, but as he was due to retire in two days, he did not take any action.
Besides, relations between Senkumar and the ADGP have been known to be sour and hence the former might have opted for restraint. Actor Dileep and Nadhirshah were questioned at the Aluva Police Club on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the police have obtained more evidence on how main accused Pulsar Suni received money before going into hiding after attacking the actress. Once it becomes clear as to who paid Suni, the case will take a decisive turn.
The investigating team completed the examining the testimony of Dileep, his aide, Appunni; and Nadhirshah. An officer in the team said the three have given information that could help the police to nab the real culprit. They will be questioned again only if more clarification is needed on their testimony. A close relative of Appunni may also be questioned.
