A woman walks past a chemist shop. REUTERS/FileKochi: The All India Organization of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) has called for a nationwide strike on May 30 against the union health ministry's proposal to regulate sale of drugs through e-portal and implementation of online pharmacy.
Kerala too will take part in the strike called by the AIOCD, said A.N. Mohan, general secretary, All Kerala Chemists and Druggists Association (AKCDA).
AKCDA is of the view that there are several practical problems in the policy reforms suggested by the government and they will severely affect the livelihood of chemists.
