Thrikkakara: The Government Model Engineering College in association with their annual techno-managerial symposium, Excel 2019 will be hosting the Young Achievers Summit(YAS) here next month.

The event will be held on August 17 from 9am to 5.30 PM at the indoor auditorium of the college.

YAS is expected to be a fulfilling session and a wonderful experience for determined youngsters. Aimed at inspiring school students from the 7th to 12th, the summit gives the young audience a chance to interact with these young, talented individuals, about their inspirational journey to the top and the hurdles they had to come across during those phases.

The speakers

Kautilya Pandit, also known as the Google Boy and widely known for his photographic memory will be the first speaker at the event. Born in Haryana, he boasts an IQ of 150 points, the same as that of Albert Einstein! His vast knowledge in a variety of fields has far surpassed that of many scientists and researchers having decades of experience in their respective fields.

Yan Chummar, an 8th grader at Marian Senior Secondary School, Kottayam is the second speaker. At 13, he has formed a company by himself, has his apps on Playstore and is an inspiration to many. Yan made his first blog when he was eight-year-old, Yan Chummar blog.

These sessions will be followed by an informative career guidance session by career guidance expert Prof Dr Venkitraman. Having conducted over 5500 career guidance sessions, he has spent over two decades helping students discover and attain their passion.

The afternoon session will be followed by an industrial visit to the Maker Village. All the participants in the summit will be taken there to familiarise with the projects exhibited there. Maker Village is the largest electronic hardware incubator and ESDM facility in the country, a pioneering startup initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology with Indian Institute of Information Technology, Trivandrum and Kerala Startup Mission. Within a very short period, Maker Village has made significant strides with 22 startups getting their first purchase orders and 26 startups in the production stage.
