Kollam: Candidates who had applied for more than one entrance examinations often find themselves in a spot of bother when their dates clash or come close to each other. This year too students are in a dilemma as the entrance tests for admission to the MBBS course of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as well as to various Central Universities are scheduled on May 25 and May 26.

More than a lakh applicants from Kerala are expected to write the AIIMS entrance as well as the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).

As the dates have coincided, candidates who had planned to take both the exams are certain to miss one of them.

In all over 3 lakh applicants have applied for the AIIMS medical entrance to seek admission for its MBBS courses to be held on its Delhi campus as well as other new centres elsewhere.

All districts in Kerala, excluding Wayanad and Pathanamthitta, will have centres for AIIMS entrance.

Almost 1.3 lakhs of students are eligible to sit for the CUCET this year.

In Kerala, the CUCET will be held only in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kochi, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts.
