Teenage is the time when youngsters are concerned about their looks. While some cheer about breakouts of one or two pimples, many fret about finding them on their face.

Sometimes it's so worrisome that pimple breakouts can take away their confidence and make them reluctant to face others.

They may even seek treatment from fake or inexperienced practitioners which may backfire, or resort to many beauty products loaded with chemicals which could harm the facial skin.

Experts say that pimple breakouts could be controlled to a certain extent by avoiding food items which are rich in fat. Ayurveda prescribes some simple remedies for soothing the pimples which are painful as well.

Boiling the water with a few guava leaves or triphala in it and then steaming the face with it would ease pimple breakouts. Grounding coriander and guava leaves into a paste and applying it on face too would help keep pimples away. This paste should be applied thickly in an upward motion. Leave the paste on the face for 20 minutes and wash it off with warm water.

Dry facial skin is another major problem faced by the teenagers. Mixing naalpamaram in fresh yogurt and applying it on the face would help nourish and moisturize the skin. However, it should be noted that the face pack should be removed before it gets too dried.

Applying pindathailam or naalpamaradi oil regularly, before taking a bath, would help render fairness to skin to some extent.
