Muhammadaali, an expatriate, had always dreamed of building a luxury mansion at his home town in Iringannoor near Vadakara, Kerala. The family wanted the house to have all the modern facilities and an awesome landscape that matches the opulence of the structure.
The structure has been designed by leaving vast space in front, so that the majestic beauty of the exteriors could be enjoyed in all its glory. Tanthoor stones, that allow rain water to seep into the ground, are paved in the front yard. Fruit bearing and shading trees are mostly grown in the landscape garden. These trees were specially brought from Bengaluru to be planted here. An outer courtyard has been arranged beside the sit-out. Meanwhile, the highlighter LED lights project the amazing features of the exteriors.
The elevation features a blend of traditional, contemporary and colonial architectural styles. GI truss work has been installed above the flat roof. The natural stone claddings, lighter shades and the stylish roofing tiles elevate the luxurious look of the exteriors. The car porch is not built as part of the structure but on the side of it. A stylish arch and a corridor lead to the main entrance of the house.
This grand house that sprawls over 5500 sq ft of area has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, courtyard, and three bedrooms each in both the floors, kitchen with an adjacent work area, balcony and an open terrace as well.
The interiors have been designed in the semi-open style which makes the spaces look vaster. The formal and the family living areas are separated to ensure privacy.
The luxurious furnishing is the highlight of the interiors. The Italian marble flooring grants a regal look to the spaces. Besides, vitrified tiles too are paved on the floor in some parts of the house. The striking elegance of the gypsum false ceiling is truly mind-blowing. Exclusive Nilambur teak has been used for the custom-made furniture and for the wooden panelling as well. The stair area has been designed in double height. The handrails of the beautiful stairway feature the extravagant combination of teak wood and glass. These handrails have been extended to the upper floor as well.
All the bedrooms are incredibly spacious. Full length wardrobes, separate dressing spaces and attached bathrooms are some of the facilities in the bedrooms.
Apart from the main island kitchen, there is a working kitchen as well. Washing machine, oven and fridge have been arranged as in – built facilities to make the kitchen more space efficient. The kitchen cabinets are done in marine plywood and lacquered glass finish. Meanwhile, the counter top has been paved with nano white. A quaint breakfast counter completes the kitchen area.
The house, with its splendid features and luxurious facilities, exude elegance and slickness. The family admits they feel proud when guests are overwhelmed by the grandness of the interiors.
