Arun Emmanuel Sebastian and his family were living abroad for years before coming back to Kerala. The family is now thrilled to show around their brand new house at their home town in Kanjirappally in Kottayam district. The 25 cents plot lies in multiple levels and the family wanted to build the house here by retaining its natural structure. The architect had designed a beautiful house with all the modern facilities catering to the likes and interests of the family members.

The exteriors of the house are smartly designed to perfectly reflect the unique structure of the plot. The box style elevation too is in many levels. Trendy wooden textures are the highlight here. This spectacular house, designed in 4300 sq ft area, has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, courtyard, kitchen with an adjacent work area, four bedrooms and a balcony.

The interiors are arranged in the semi-open style. Besides, the walls and the ceiling don the serene white hue. These features make the interiors look incredibly vaster and spacious. Vitrified tiles in cream colour are paved on the floor as well. The use of natural wood for furnishing is limited. Meanwhile, the house is elegantly furnished using plywood, veneer, MDF and gypsum.

The formal living area is designed ensuring enough privacy. The family living area, the dining space and the courtyard are arranged as part of the open hall. The beautifully designed prayer space is the highlight of the interiors. This is arranged a few inches above the floor level. The pillars, enhanced with plywood panelling, add to the chic look of this area.

The dining area is arranged in a way which allows you to enjoy food while watching the mesmerizing views from outside. An entire wall here is lined with glass sliding door through which one could enter the courtyard. The pergola skylight on the ceiling invites lots of natural sunshine that illuminates the interiors. The vertical garden adds a hint of greenery here. This has now become the family’s favourite spot to enjoy a relaxing evening.

The efficient space management is evident in the elegant design of the stairway. The double-heighted ceiling here allows easy communication between the two floors. Meanwhile, the handrails of the stairway feature the classic combination of glass and wood. The indoor plant placed below the stairway adds the perfect contrast of green against the white surrounding.

The stairway leads to the upper living area where a TV unit and sitting spaces are arranged.

All the bedrooms are bath attached with in – built wardrobes for storage and separate dressing spaces as well. The false ceiling in veneer finish with attractive LED light fittings improves the ambience of the rooms.
