Simple exterior and stunning interiors. That is what this 3,700 sq ft house at Angamaly is. Standing on 20 cents of land in the midst of lush greenery, the house is well ventilated, bright and cool at all times, a pre-requisite the owner had set for himself. The house has been specially designed to bring in the elements of air and light in abundance. When viewed from the outside, not too many style stunts have gone into its design … no loud and flashy colors. However, step in and you will be stunned.

Why this house belies its simple looks!

Functional and beautiful, the house is elegantly designed. The exterior elevation gives a clue to what lies inside with its show of plentiful louvers. The claddings walls add style to the minimalist design.

The interiors too offer a green look. There are nooks aplenty where people can sit down for a chat and enjoy a bit of personal time. Such nooks are aesthetically designed and in combination with the plants inside, the visual effect is one serenity and immaculate style. Vitrified floor tiles add to its elegance. Almost all the pieces of furniture are from China. The drawing room stands out for its décor in an orange-textured wall. The same design element is extended to the living upstairs.

An outdoor garden has been laid out from the family living. The turfed floor has glass roofing and the walls have louver covering to protect privacy.

The dining space is well designed around a six-seat table. Its ceiling in wooden laminate, with lights within, complements the style quotient. A patio space opening out of the dining room is also beautifully designed. It is through a glass door that one steps into the patio. One can chill out here. The wooden deck and seating arrangements are apt for any mood.

There are four bedrooms, all in white themes. With attached bathrooms, dressing space and wardrobes, there is luxury and convenience all over.

A balcony space has been provided from the upper living. A courtyard space laid with synthetic turf is a separate piece of décor. The entire area has been put to good use.

Though not stunning on looks, the abode is one of style and substance.
