Start off with CTM

Cleansing, Toning and moisturizing your skin is the most important, and perhaps the most ignored step to beauty care


What: Cleansing is the process of removing all makeup from your face. It includes removing all traces of makeup from your face, right from the kohl in your eyes to lipstick.


Why: Cleansing is essential to prevent breakouts and popping of white and black heads, around the nose. Its is essential to let the skin breathe for which removing all traces of makeup is essential.

How: The easiest way to cleanse your face is by the use of a mild cleanser from a reputed beauty brand. Cleansing your face with cotton balls soaked in cleansing milk or lotion is all that you need if you are on regular makeup. Those peculiar about using only natural products on their face can opt for cold milk to remove dirt and clean pores on the face.

Note: Remember to use a mild scrub once in a week for proper exfoliation

» Toning

What: Toning is the process of soothing your skin by tightening the open pores and removing dead cells from the face.


Why: Toning cleans the skin from the inside and helps prevent further breakout of acne and white/black heads.

How: Rose water is an ideal toner that suits normal to dry skin people. Dip cotton balls in rose water and rub your face to gently open up facial pores to flush out dirt. You can also try steaming your face once in a while to open up the pores.

» Moisturizing

What: Just like we take care of our hands and feet, it is equally important to keep our face moisturized. Often people are hesitant to keep their face moisturized unless its a harsh winter and your skin has started to peel off.


Why: Effectively moisturizing your skin will make it soft and supple. In summers, use a light weight moisturizer. Applying moisturizing will keep the facial pores tight. Once you have applied a toner to your face, make sure to follow it up with a good quality moisturizer, else which your skin pores will remain open inviting new breakouts.

How: Take a small quantity of moisturizer and dab on to your face and neck. Massage gently into the skin in upward circular motion.

Follow the CTM routine once or twice a day at least to foster your skin's well being. After all, who doesn't love to look young and pretty. Go ahead, stay beautiful.

Why: Carrots are a rich source of beta carotene, vitamin C and K, both highly beneficial for the skin. Honey has natural antibacterial properties. Honey works as an excellent facepack for those who have oily skin, as it dissolves excess sebum. It also opens pores, and moisturizes the skin making it supple. It has natural antibacterial properties and thus it prevents pimples. Carrots help prevent wrinkles and helps the skin become smooth by providing sufficient amount of vitamin A.

How: Grind the carrot extract and mix it with 1 tablespoon of honey and apply it on the face. Let the pack dry for 15 minutes after which you can wash it off with cold water

Week 2

Potato-curd mask

Why: Potatoes help to reduce pigmentation, age spots and removing sun tan. It is a rich source of vitamin C, the essential skin vitamin along with vitamins A, B, phosphorus, potassium, protein and iron. Curd is a natural bleaching agent and moisturizer.

How: Take a spoon of mashed potato paste and add half a spoon of curd. Apply the mixture on your face and after 15 minutes wash it off after you scrubbing the mixture gently on your face.

Week 3

Oatmeal-milk face pack

Oatmeal-milk face pack

Why: Oats have great exfoliating properties that help you get rid of dead cells on your face. It facilitates unclogging of pores and reduces pimples. Milk is a great cleanser and natural moisturizer which lightens the skin tone.

How: Mix a sufficient quantity of milk with half a spoon of oatmeal. Mix well and apply the mixture on your face. Wash it off after 15 minutes.

Week 4

Banana-almond oil pack

Banana-almond oil pack

Why: Bananas are a rich source of vitamin C and helps in improving skin complexion. Almonds are rich source of vitamins E, A and D that act as effective natural antioxidants for improving skin texture.

How: Mash half a banana and mix well with almond oil. Apply on your face and wash off after 20 minutes.
