Yes, you read it right! Actor Mohanlal's directorial debut Barroz will have prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram as the music composer. The big news was announced officially at the launch of the movie which was held on Sunday at an event in Kochi.

The 13-year-old pianist Lydian was crowned the winner in the CBS talent show The World's Best. Oscar winner A R Rahman has described Lydian as one of India’s treasures.

Lydian's father, Varshan Satish is a music director in the Tamil film Industry. Lydian was a student of Augustine Paul, a veteran music educator and music director of the 125-year-old Madras Musical Association. With his guidance, Lydian breezed through the Grade VIII piano examination conducted by Trinity College, London, an accomplishment typical of people of college-age, or older.

Lydian now has a seat at the table of Chennai greats who hold Trinity certificates or diplomas inclding the big names Ilaiyaraja, A R Rahman, L Subramaniam, and L Shankar.

As the 3D film is targeted at kids, Lydian is expected to strike the right chord with the audiences with his music.
