Singer Sayanora turns music composer, her 'Chakkappattu' out With this movie, Sayanora has joined the league of women composers in Malayalam.

The first song of the Suraj Venjaramoodu-starrer 'Kuttanpillayude Shivarathri' has been released.

The song will see the noted playback singer Sayanora turning a music director and has been titled Chakkappattu (Jackfruit song) as the visuals and lines revolve around jackfruit and the various culinary delights it can transform into.

There are three songs in the movie and 'Chakka Paattu' is the first among them, which the crew has now released.

Noted poet-lyricist Anvar Ali has penned the song giving it the folk hues which is being sung by Sannidhanandan and R J Jimmy.

The film by Jean Markose will see Suraj don a khakhi uniform.

Mithun Ramesh, Uppum Mulakum fame Biju Sopanam, Srinda among others will appear in prominent roles in the film.

With this movie, Sayanora has joined the league of women composers in Malayalam like Usha Khanna (Moodal Manju), Gowri Lakshmi (for the film Casanova along with music director Gopi Sundar) and so on.

Sayanora has in fact gone a notch higher by composing the background score for the movie as well.
