Hours after movie director Rosshan Andrrews' associate raised allegations against film producer Alwin Antony's son that he had misbehaved with her, Antony has slammed the police for not taking action against the director.

“It's been a week since we were attacked by Rosshan Andrrews and his gang and still police haven't taken any action against them. There is a chance that we will be attacked anytime soon,” Alwin and his wife Angelina told mediapersons on Thursday.

They further added, “ When we see Rosshan taking part in events and functions, we feel scared and feel that he would influence authorities further and target us.”

“Rosshan had warned us that if we don't withdraw the police complaint against him, he will in turn file a case against our son too,” claimed the duo.

On Thursday, the woman associate director at the centre of the controversy had revealed that Roshan Andrrews was only trying to protect her from the unwanted advances of Alwyn John Antony, son of film producer Alwin Antony. The associate director, who had worked with Andrrews in several movies, said that the junior Antony had threatened to ruin her career after the incident.

Andrrews was accused of visiting producer Alwin Antony's house looking for his son and roughing him up. The Kerala High Court had granted interim bail to Rosshan Andrrews on Wednesday in connection with the case.

The woman associate, in turn, had lodged a complaint with the police with all the evidence. She said there was a move to frame Andrrews and that she had only gratitude for him for standing by her in this hour of crisis.

The associate director clarified that Andrrews had gone to Antony's house after learning that the youngster had misbehaved with her. "When Andrrews revealed the incident, the family turned against him and framed him," said the woman.

She even shared recording of a phone conversation, in which the junior Antony is heard raging against her and Andrrews. The audio clip shared by the associate director contains this conversation: “You sir (Andrrews) had gone to my house today. He spoke to my family as if I were a womanizer. You will pay for this. Neither you or him will be in the Malayalam cinema any more. You will be out of the field within one month. Just wait and see.” Onmanorama could not independently verify the authenticity of the audio clip. She said that he even threatened to eliminate Andrrews.

The associate director added that she feared for Andrrews and was worried that the incident would cast a shadow on a career she had steadily built up in a male-dominated industry.

According to the woman, she had met the junior Antony on the sets of a movie through common friends. It was not long before he proposed to her. She told him that she was already seeing someone and was about to get married. He apologized and wanted to be friends with her.

However, he misbehaved with her several times after that, she said. Once she had to walk out of a car after he misbehaved with her. Though he later called her up to apologise, it left a scar, she said.

Andrrews, who was like a brother and mentor to the associate director, came to know about the incident. He was the one who talked to her family about her affair and arranged for her engagement. He wanted to have a word with Antony about the incident. That was the background of Andrrews' visit to Antony's house, she revealed.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Film Producers council has announced that anyone who wished to do a film with Rosshan Andrrews must first seek permission from the council.
