This is not the first time that the actor had a miraculous escape from an accident.

During his Kollywood movie Jilla in 2013, the actor caused a scare for his fans after a box of firecrackers caught fire and burst in the middle of his shoot for an opening song.

Much earlier, in 2011, Mohanlal escaped a major injury when a bike stunt went awry on the sets of Casanovva. While shooting for a chase scene on high crates in a warehouse, the actor's motorcycle skidded off from an inclined ramp, toppling him with the bike four feet below into the safety bed that was placed as a protective measure.

Currently, Mohanlal is working hard for Pulimurugan which is slated to hit screens as Vishu release.
