After days of downpour and landslides, the intensity of rain has slightly reduced in Kerala by Monday.

In the wake of the calamity, actress and TV host Ranjini Haridas shared a crucial message on her social media page.

Ranjini has shared a picture of plastic waste which has accumulated on the shore of the Kabani River in Wayanad. She captioned the pic with a long note with regard to how humans have degraded the nature and it is now giving us back in the form of floods now.

And it seems like the floods have affected her too as she is stuck in Wayanad, which is badly hit.

"I just clicked this pic outside the gates of where I’m stuck right now and it breaks my heart. This is what we have done to our planet, you guys. About time we took some responsibility. And this is just one little spot by the Kabani river. Imagine the amount of plastic/bottles that have washed up all over. Looks like Mother Nature is giving it back and telling us to clean up our own shit!!!" (sic.)

Ranjini was reportedly in Waynad for an Ayurvedic treatment and is yet to return home. She is currently hosting a singing reality show for a Malayalam channel.

She was last seen in a small role in Nadirshah's directorial 'Mera Naam Shaji'.
