My travel 'S-entials', all of which you can see in this picture- #1- #Scarf: Definitely my top travel 'S-ential'. The hippy in me can't travel without a big, bright scarf- like the pink one I'm wearing on my head, and am often seen wearing as a skirt, sarong or beach-dress, in other travel pictures. I only carry one scarf and it serves me a myriad of purposes- head-gear/hair-wrap, skirt, sarong, beach-dress, beach-spread, wrap, belt or sometimes doubles up as just a scarf even. #2- #Sunnies: Tch. Not for the sun and all, I'm not that sensitive. I am used to having to stare straight and unfazed into huge, glaring lights, bouncing off blindingly bright reflectors for hours, when I shoot; without batting an eyelid or getting to wince. The sun doesn't bother me one bit. The sunnies are to bird-watch from behind 'em. And cover up those under-slept, hungover eyes from the previous night's pub crawl. #3- #Shoes: I am a relentless wanderer. I walk tens of miles when I'm travelling and can fill all my days endlessly wandering through unmapped steets and winding lanes, taking in the sights, smells and sounds of wherever I go. So I need sturdy shoes that can keep up with my curious soul. #4- #SportsBra: travel for me is about dressing down and living it up. I don't pack ANY dressy outfits & fancy heels, and confidently and comfortably pull off looking like a hobo. A couple of good sports bras are the BEST travel buddies, especially for the kind of travel I like. A short hike up a new path (as in this picture, again, thanks to the sports bra, could take the tshirt off when it got too hot), unplanned midnight swims in the sea, jumping off a plane or cliff, etc- can you imagine having to do any of that in under-wire? Ugh. #5- #Shoulder/#SlingBag- a girl's bag can be a bottomless pit. The bigger your bag- the more unnecessary stuff you'll find to stash in it. Ditch the big, heavy bags filled with crap! A lightweight foldable sling/ backpack with a wallet, a photocopy of your passport & visa (never ever wander with the originals), and a hardcopy with the address to your hotel/hostel and an emergency phone number - and you're ready to #travel like #Hippy Moo! ūüíĖ

Her performance as teenage girl Kani was widely appreciated by critics. Even though the movie did not charm the box office, this one role still makes Amrita a familiar face in Mollywood.

What's doing its round in social media now is Amrita's latest photos. The Mumbai based lass is seen dashing in many avatars and effortlessly carries modern and ethnic attires.

Amrita who quit mainstream movies tried her luck with miniscreen for a while. She has to her credit almost 30 serials and around 6 films. Presently, she is engaged with her modelling career and works based out of Mumbai.
