Manju-Sunichen was the most popular pair of Mazhavil Manorama's 2015 hit reality show 'Veruthe Alla Bharya' which showcased the talent of married couple. Even though Manju and Sunichen had to settle for a runner's up position at the final event, the couple had no looking back since then.
Manju went on to act in a number of movies, serials and also was a noted presence in many television shows.
In the wake of International Dance Day on Monday, Manju shared a picture of her clad in Bharatanatyam costume dancing.
The photo taken during her dancing days is the first thing one would lay eyes on if paying a visit to her house. 'That slim girl in the photo is me, but no one would believe it', Manju says.
Manju also recalled her first shooting experience for Lohithadas' 2003 flick 'Chakram'. I was enthusiastic in dance and cultural activities since my school-college days. I'm also classically trained in dancing. Once, a photo of me taken during a programme at Thodupuzha was spotted by Lohithadas' production controller. That is how I was roped in to do the role.
Manju got her big break with her character role as Syamala in 'Marimayam', a popular satire sitcom on Mazhavil Manorama that highlights sleaze, incompetence and delay in government offices, public and private institutions.
She also won the Kerala State Television Awards (Special Jury Award) for her performance as Thankam in 'Aliyan VS Aliyan'.
