From scrap seller to acting in 'Lucifer': Murukan Martin's inspiring tale

Stephen Nedumbully's companion in 'Lucifer' movie's first stunt scene is not so easy to forget.

The bearded man who shared the screen with Mohanlal was none other than Murukan Martin. However, 'Lucifer' is not Murukan's first film. He has appeared in movies like 'Angamaly Diaries', 'Pokkiri Simon', 'Kali', 'Swathanthraym Ardharathriyil'. As good as that may seem, Murukan's journey has not been easy.

His life was perhaps more cinematic than the movies he essayed. From being a scrap seller, Murukan managed to get a small role in the movie 'Irikku, MD Akathund'. Then he got a chance to act in noted director Thambi Kannanthanam's 'Freedom'.

As Murukan knew tailoring, he got in touch with costume designer Mahi. From then, Murukan has managed to show his face in many movies. The journey has taken him to being a part of mass entertainer 'Lucifer'.
