'Much-hated' Basheer Bashi set for film debut

Love him or hate him, but you just can’t ignore Basheer Bashi. A noted model and anchor, Basheer gained incredible fame through his stint in a popular reality show which was presented by super star Mohanlal. However, Basheer is also one of the few Keralites who is subjected to scathing online attacks, the most. The fact that he is married twice is the main reason why he is constantly trolled on the social media.

Obscene comments are posted below the videos that Basheer post on Youtube or his pictures on the various social media platforms, or even below the news articles that are published by online media, about him. The online bullies didn’t spare his wives as well, filling their comment boxes with indecent comments.

Basheer, however, hasn’t, until now, reacted to such hateful comments or trolls. Neither has he tried to run away from it. “I am being attacked because I have married twice. See trolls don't even spare actors like Priya Warrier. What about her? What has that girl done to deserve all these? Compared to that, what I am facing is nothing,” noted Basheer referring to the vicious cyber attack against the young actress.

He openly stated that he lives for those who love and accept him for his opinions and views as well. The youngster, who nurtures lots of special dreams, is all set to make his silver screen debut through a movie directed by actor Anoop Chandran. Basheer, in a candid chat with Onmanorama, opens up about his personal life and also about the cyber attacks.

Lot of haters

Basheer made his stand clear by saying that he has nothing to say to those who hate him. He observed that many people can’t stand the good fortune enjoyed by others. He refers to the cyber attacks against actress Priya Warrier to elucidate his point. “She hasn’t done anything against the society. People are waiting for her video or a picture to be released. They would attack her with scathing comments as soon as she posts something. She has just started out in life and is already facing such attacks. Compared to the cyber bullying that she goes through, I think what I am facing is nothing,” says Basheer.

Springing from envy

The reality TV star thinks people are envious because he leads a happy life with both his wives. He says that they are jealous of his new found fame from the reality show. “I have done nothing wrong. I don’t intent to hurt anyone either. They still abuse me on Youtube and social media. To be honest, I laugh at those comments, thinking how frivolous people have become,” he revealed.

Will not react

Basheer believes that he has become the target of such attacks because people may have noticed something special in him. He doesn’t bother too much about his haters, nor does he react to them, as he thinks that the intensity of the attack would be more if he chose to respond. However, all these cyber bullying or obscene comments will not stop him from posting or sharing videos on Youtube and Tik Tok, vowed Basheer.

Family comes first

“When I am out for shopping, many people come near me and talk with great respect and love. I feel incredibly happy then, even if I had been slightly pained with all those cyber bullying. I don’t usually read the bad comments. I should only be concerned about my family’s opinions. They have nothing bad to say about me. Both my wives are happy. So are our families. It’s their happiness that matters the most to me. I don’t think about anything else,” the youngster is clear about his priorities.

Leave Basheer

Basheer said that people have flooded his wives’ Facebook inboxes with advices to leave him. Many users have even gone to the extent of asking them to believe that their kids don’t have a father and to leave him. His wives laugh reading those messages and often read it to Basheer as well. “Will those people who say this invite my wives to their homes and take care of them? Will they take my kids to the hospital when they are ill?” asked Basheer.

“You should understand that it is I who takes care of them. None of them who send these messages would do that. My wives have already deleted their social media accounts. It was a decision jointly taken by both of them. They told that only I should share my pictures,” said Basheer.

Loving equally

Basheer vowed that he has never felt any difficulties in taking care of two wives. The secret to his successful marriages is to give equal love and care to both of them. “Many say that it is difficult to take care of even one wife. It is because they consider loving and caring for a wife as a burden. They won’t feel any difficulties if we take care of them like an important organ in our body,” he revealed.

Basheer is thankful to all his supporters who love him. He said, “They may have hated me in the beginning. However, they began to give me love after realizing my true personality through the reality show. I just have one thing to ask and that is to continue loving and supporting me like this. I am extremely grateful to everyone and it will be there in my heart forever.”

Basheer has always said that his passion is to act in the movies and he has already landed a significant role in a film. The movie, directed by actor Anoop Chandran, will go on floors in February at Kottayam. The young man has decided to look for more opportunities in the films only after he wraps up Anoop Chandran’s movie.
