Actor R Madhavan has got into the skin of ISRO scientist S Nambi Narayanan for his directorial debut 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'.
The 48-year-old actor took to Instagram to share photos of him and Narayanan from the set of the film. The 'Run' actor's transition as Nambi Narayanan is striking and won accolades from fans, movie lovers and people from the fraternity. According to Madhavan's Insta post, the complex makeover took 14 hours.
Madhavan, who himself is directing the movie, had earlier told media that playing the role of the Indian rocket scientist was probably one of the toughest characters of his career.
Nambi Narayanan was a senior official at ISRO and was charged with espionage in 1994. However, a CBI investigation dismissed the allegations in 1996 and the Supreme Court acquitted him in 1998. The top court, in 2018, granted the rocket scientist a compensation of Rs50 lakh.
