Lissy, the yesteryear heart throb in Malayalam films, is all set for a comeback on the acting front after a long gap of 25 years. The actor will be seen on the screen again in a yet to be titled Telugu film directed by Krishna Chaitanya and produced by Pavan Kalyan, Thrivikram Sreenivas and Sudhakar Reddy.
It will have Nidhin and Megha in lead roles. Lissy said that she is donning a prominent role in the film.
The actor's blitzkrieg moment of facing the camera for the comeback film took place in New York. She was nervous but the moments of facing the camera for the second time were thrilling, she said, adding that the first schedule in New York was over.
Lissy had last acted in the 1994 film Chanakyasoothram directed by Somnath. The actor said that she deeply regretted the decision to quit acting at her prime age of 22.
It was a decision she regretted even today. Though she would not get back those lost years or roles, she hoped to do her best in her second innings, Lissy said in her Facebook post.
Lissy married director Priyadarshan in 1990 and the two got separated in 2016 after 24 years of togetherness.
