Adoor/Jeddah: The husband of a Malayali nurse and their seven-month-old baby were found dead in mysterious circumstances in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Srijith (30), son of Sasi of Sarovarathil House at Pazhamkulam, Alummood, and his child. Srijith was found hanging and the child was found lying dead, according to information received by relatives in Kerala.

The incident took place at Sulaymaniyah in Jeddah on Friday afternoon. According to reports, Srijith banged the child on to the wall following a family dispute. Though wife Anisha took the child to the hospital, the child could not be saved.

Anisha fell unconscious when she knew about the kid's death and is under treatment in hospital. Those who reached the flat after this spotted Srijith hanging.

Anisha, a native of Nooranad in Alappuzha, is a nurse at the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. Sreejith came to Saudi Arabia three months ago on a visit visa. Since their tiff had worsened, Anisha was planning to take emergency leave and fly back to Kerala on Sunday.

Efforts are on to bring the bodies to Kerala.
