Erumeli: What's the worst you can expect to find in bag found abandoned on a train? Sure a giant python would definitely not be on your guess list.

The exploits of the daring ‘snake catcher’ emerged when they nabbed the young man who reportedly caught the snake single-handedly and packed it into a bag.

Alappuzha native Jeejo, 29, had hitched a ride on a lorry from Palakkad while he was returning from a relative’s house.

At Sreekrishnapuram, he spotted the snake by the wayside and captured it.

Stunning the public that had gathered, Jeejo deftly scooped the python into his bag but the lorry diver refused to let the daredevil into the vehicle again with the python.

The young man got a lift from another lorry driver, got down at Ottapalam and took a train to Ernakulam.

But things went out of hand, when Jeejo forgot his prized catch on the trainonce the train reached Ernakulam.

As he was heading towards the KSRTC bus stand, it struck him that he had forgotten the bag in the train.

Though Jeejo returned to pick his bag, he was dissuaded from going near it as he spotted the railway police.
