Idukki Unaware of the bag slipping off, Kunjumon proceeded to work.

Nedumkandam: A businessman set an example worth emulating by safely returned a lost bag containing Rs 1,38,000 to its owner.

On Wednesday, Nidhia Kunjumon, a home guard at the police station in Vandimedu, lost his bag containing the money while on his way to work on his scooter.

Unaware of the bag, which contained the money reserved for his daughter's wedding, slipping off, Kunjumon proceeded to work.

In the meanwhile Jayasuryan, a timber merchant, and friend Unni found the bag near Ganapatipalam at Puliyanmala on the Thookkupalam-Kattappana road.

The duo decided to keep the bag safely till the owner was located. While they were still on the lookout, they spotted the news of the missing bag on the local television channel Thursday.

Identifying the owner and after ascertaining the credentials, the bag was handed over to Kunjumon.
