Durban: Indian captain Virat Kohli suffered a freak injury during the opening One-Day International (ODI) against South Africa here on Thursday.
Kohli's knee got stuck into the ground as he chased down a ball during the seventh over of the South African innings. Kohli started limping soon. He went off the field and returned quickly but only to go back to the dugout.
Kohli was back on the field in the 21st over and positioned himself at first slip. The Indian fans will be praying that the injury is not a serious one and the charismatic Kohli will be there at the helm as India try to win their first bilateral series win on South African soil.
