Landslide blocks highway in J&K

The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway is closed for the second day because of landslides. This highway is the only all weather road link that connects Kashmir with the rest of the country. So the landslides have caused an abrupt halt in daily, smooth functioning.

7 new frog species in India

Four of these new types of frogs are so tiny, that they can sit on a coin or a thumbnail and are among the smallest in the world. Three others are larger ones and they all live in the Western Ghats mountain range forests.
