Tallest Indian Flag hoisted

The tallest Indian National Flag has been hoisted in Punjab. This new flag is placed right on the India-Pakistan border. The flag itself is 120 feet in length, 80 feet in breadth, and the pole that it is hoisted on, is 360 feet high.

Famous Malayalam playback singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi has set a world record by playing Gayathri Veena continuously for over 5 hours. She has now become the first person to play Gayathri Veena, a single string musical instrument, continuously for the longest time ever. Read more

Leopard on the prowl in Kannur 

After a tense 7 hours, a wild leopard that strayed into Kannur town was tranquilized by forest officials Sunday night. The leopard that spread panic in the area and mauled at least 4 persons was shot by a team led by Dr Arun Zachariah. Read more
