Bribery row: BJP expels tainted leader
A report of the BJP's internal committee claimed that Rs 5.60 crore had been given to a party functionary for getting approval from Medical Council of India. R S Vinod, convener of the BJP's Co-Operative Cell in the state, was expelled from the primary membership, hours after the contents of the report, reportedly submitted to state party chief last month, surfaced in a section of media. Kerala govt agrees to nurses' demands
The Kerala government Thursday said it would implement the Supreme Court directive of Rs 20,000 minimum salary to nurses in the state. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that a panel would be set up to study the demands of the the nurses who have been on a strike for long. Click here to read more

UK Queen adopts dog she fell in love with during regular walks
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has adopted a nine-year-old dog she "fell in love with" during regular walks after his owner passed away, according to media reports.
