Junk food ban in Maharashtra schools

The Maharashtra government has banned the sale of junk food in school canteens in the state. Instead of serving pizza, burgers, Indian sweets and soft drinks, healthier options like whole grain rotis, parathas, rice, dal, chickpeas, milk and sugar free dairy products will be available.
