woman-head

A perturbing video has surfaced on Instagram, showing a middle-aged woman with her head stuck between the doors of a subway in New York. But strangely, the disturbing video do not get us anywhere close to anyone looking at her, forget rescuing her. Is it due to a glut of pranks or just that we are insensitive?

The video clearly shows the woman's head sticking out between the doors along with a portion of her sling bag while the rest of her body is inside the train.

Even though the one quick question pops – of why did the one taking the video not come to her rescue, the video seems to have been shot by someone inside the train on the opposite platform.

Even though many walk beside the lady, including one clad in a uniform, no one is really bothered to help her out. Even more strange is the fact that the lady in distress too remains silent and never cries out for help. However, someone in the background later is heard screaming for help.

Several comments in response to the video shames people for their insensitivity. One of the comments even criticized the one filming it rather than offering help.

The video does not tell us whether she was rescued. The video views crossed more than 1.2 million views in less than 12 hours of it being posted online.

However, Onmanorama could not independently verify the authenticity of this video.
