Abu Dhabi: Psychologists say a child's memory plays a vital role in moulding him. For Amish Ashique, 3, memory is his very identity. He can barely speak but can recite the most toughest of Quran verses and name the capitals of most countries, all from memory.
Amish, son of Haifa and Ashique, a Keralite couple settled in Abu Dhabi, is blessed with an incredible memory. Amish can pick up general knowledge nuggets and reproduce them with ease, leaving onlookers spellbound.
Many of that he grasps and recalls on request are a hard crack even for adults. Amish can solve mathematical problems too, his parents say.
Ashique and Haifa, who hail from Tirur in Malappuram, take him to parks and zoos in the region. “When we visit zoos, he is always curious to know the names of animals and random facts about them. While at home, he loves to play with his elder brother Danish,” Ashique said.
“Amish used to listen in rapt attention whenever we tutored his elder brother. We noticed that he was able to recall everything said to him with ease,” he added.
As the boy started showing interest and passion to learn new things, they started grooming him by providing him learning materials. The proud parents are now looking to nurture Amish’s talent further.
