Christmas Tree - check, stars and lights – check, a crib – check. It is Christmas time again. If you have been waiting for a reason to redo your house, this is the ideal time. Here is a look at the traditional ways to deck up your house.

Christmas Tree

A Christmas Tree is the heart and soul of the festival. Selecting a tree, and growing it would be the ideal way, but it could be difficult in the present times. The next best bet is to but one from the market. There are artificial trees that you can pick up too. Almost all the shops sell Christmas decorations. The most important part of celebrating the festival is in getting your family to participate. Get your kids to deck up the tree.

Stars and lights

Christmas is all about stars and lights. Deck your drive way up with lights. Hang a couple of old jam bottles from trees and light them up with LED lights. There are a lot of cheap lamps which you can pick up from a roadside shop. This year the price of stars start from around Rs 100 and go on till about Rs 1000 for a fiberglass star. You can recycle your star from last year too.

The crib

Now, that is not something you keep buying every year. But you could add on to your collection; get a new baby Christ or the sheep. Doing up a crib is an art. If you have small children at home, make sure that you keep the crib away from their reach.
