Many years ago, after the 'Chintrageetham' music show on Dooradarsan ended every Friday, little Aditi would recreate the songs in front of her parents.
"I want to be one of those heroines. And act in a plenty of songs," Aditi would shout delightfully.
Now, years later, her parents realize that the little joyous prophecy has been bang on target.
Aditi Ravi is a familiar face to the Malayalam television audience, be it the popular ad film of a famous Cotton dhothi brand or her acting debut in an album song called ‘Yelove’ opposite ‘Thaikkudam Bridge’ fame Siddharth Menon.
And the Thrissur lass is now playing female lead in a movie called ‘Alamara’ being directed by popular filmmaker and script writer Midhun Manuel Thomas. Sunny Wayne is the protagonist in the movie.
For Aditi, acting was the sole passion. That is why as her celluloid dreams come true after a modeling career spanning six years, she is a picture of “astonishment, anxieties and wonder”. Aditi is the lead model of several brands. “Modeling is where I started off from. I still stick on to my modeling base. Fashion industry is an exciting yet challenging platform to explore and establish oneself,” says Aditi.
For she has gone through enough rejections after umpteen auditions and in the process got deeply dejected.
“But I was adamant about one thing -- that I would never give up without acting at least in one single movie. So for me, this is a big thing. And I would call it, a dream come true,” she says.
Aditi has also recently signed up for a movie, 'Tik Tock', in which she plays female lead opposite young star Tovino.
A time traveler movie, 'Tik-Tock' is being directed by Vivek Anirudh and will hit the theaters by the mid of 2017.
Hailing from a middle class rural family in Pudukkad village, Thrissur, young Aditi was nervous to reveal her passion for acting in school for the fear of being mocked at.
But when she made it clear that this was non negotiable, Rakesh, Aditi's elder brother, quit his profession as a software engineer and started accompanying his youngest sister to auditions and shooting locations.
"Brother is one person I can take for granted. Hadn't he been this supportive, all these would still be a distant dream for me," she says.
A graduate in Functional English from Christ College, Irinjalakuda, the young actress seeks to take pursue her studies along with her career.
"An MBA is what I'm planning now. Once I get established in my career, I hope I can continue my studies too," she says.
For this budding actress, success is all about hard work and passion. "There may be easy ways to achieve your dream. But I have chose the toughest way. I had no acquaintances and none to refer. I attended auditions after auditions, lost most of them, opted ways of betterment and finally got into the flow. Be passionate. Pray and never shy away from hard work.," that is Aditi's success mantra to the young aspirants in industry.
'Alamara' will hit theaters by the second week of February next year.
Renji Panicker, Seema G Nair and Saiju Kurup also stars in the movie directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, who has proven his mettle in script writing through the Nivin Pauly's blockbuster 'Om Shanti Oshana' and Jayasuriya starrer 'Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyaanu'. Midhun also marked his directorial debut through the movie 'Ann Mariya Kalippilaanu.'
