Thiruvananthapuram: The delegate cell inauguration and pass distribution for the 22nd edition of International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) began at 11 am on Wednesday.
Festival passes for the delegates will be issued at Tagore theater premises in Thiruvananthapuram till 7 pm every day. 14 counters have been set up at the theater premises and delegates have to provide an id card which has a photo in order to collect the passes.
The festival organizers have also sanctioned another 1000 passes for delegates on Tuesday and the registration process was completed in 20 minutes. These passes will be distributed on December 7.
This season's IFFK is set to begin on December 8 and as many as 190 films from 65 countries would be screened under various categories. The festival will conclude on December 15.
The Kerala government has decided to do away with the inaugural ceremony of the festival in view of a trail of tragedy left by Cyclone Ockhi. The government wants to conduct the festival without any luxurious event.
